Split Personalities

So far 2 has been great but daily I can see a change. Knock on wood....... they are still eating and sleeping great.

Preston and Lily are starting to have split personalities one personality is still in the baby stage while the other is full on toddler mode. Their independence is really coming out. Every. single. day. during nap time before they go to sleep I have to go up and get them redressed. I have learned Lily's "help me my shirt is wrapped around my waist and leg cry" Preston has not mastered the shirt but he has the pants down. It's hilarious! I go up to find all their stuff from their crib on the floor, blanket x 2 plus 1 more for Lily, 2 pillows, 2 taggie blankets, 1 teddy bear, 1 binky, and 2 pairs of pants. Redress them both cover and tuck them both in, AGAIN and then they go to sleep.

Preston 23 lbs 8 oz

32 1/2 in

Lily 23 lbs

18 month check up

This morning I took the babies to their 18 month check up. It's hard to believe these teeny tiny babies are now high speed walking toddlers. 

Lily:

weight 21 lbs

height 29 1/4 inches 

Preston: 

weight 22 lbs 3 oz

height 30 inches 

Doctor update

I took the babies to the Dr on Friday. Originally both babies were congested and had some yellowish boogies. Oh and did I mention Aaron was in Halifax Wed and Thur? Yea so my week was fun. **STAY TUNED FOR MY NIGHT OUT POST!!!**
They started to clear up about Thursday but then Preston started pulling at his ear so I decided to take them both in on Friday. I didn't have an appointment so we went to the walk in clinic and waited for an hour and a half. Once we got back the doctor was really nice, great with the babies and took his time. You would think that as many people as there were in the waiting room we would be rushed but we weren't. He looked at Preston's ears and only his right one is infected. He looked at Lily's and he said both of hers are infected. Her left was red but her right ear drum was bulging. She didn't seem to be in pain at all, she must have my pain tolerance. Like I said Preston is the one that I knew had an ear infection. Both babies got Amoxicillin and are to take it 3 x per day for 10 days. I can not tell you how thankful I am to have taken them to the dr before our trip. I hope they will be all clear for take off in 13 days!!!! Crap 13 days I have not done a thing.

Baby weights

I weighed the babies today.
Lily weighs 15 lbs and is 26 1/2 in long and Preston weighs 18 lbs and is 27 1/4 in long.
At their 6 month appt on 5-1-08 Lily weighed 13 lbs 9 oz and 25 in long. Preston 16 lbs 8 oz and 25 1/2 in long.
Preston is solid he is so strong when you pick him up you really have to work at it. Lily is still just a little girl small and petite.
Lily's tooth pokes through more and more every week. She has been fussy the past few days and yesterday we noticed her tooth is very noticeable and her gums are red and swollen. She will be a little tooth girl soon.
Did anyone notice the Nana countdown? They will be here is 2 weeks and 2 days!!! YIPPY!!!!!!
