My two 2 year olds!

Happy birthday to the sweetest little girl. Lily you light up my life with your smile everyday. We love you!
Preston you make me laugh with your goofy little antics. We love you!

I could never have imagined that I would be so blessed. I am thankful for each day I have with my kids. At 2 years old Preston and Lily keep me on my feet, literally. I don't sit down to relax until they go to bed. This age is so much fun I love watching their imagination blossom. Lily can sing the ABC song and count to 10. My favorite is when she gets to lmnop and just moves her tongue saying lalala p q r s t..... Preston can count to about 5 and sing the tune of the ABC song.

We are about to get ready to go trick or treating I hope everyone has a Happy Halloween.

Happy Birthday to my Little Girl

Well she isn't so little anymore. She is 15. Wow just saying that out loud is crazy to me. I can remember the day she was born it was a day that I grew up too. I was only 16 when Ashley was born so basically just a kid myself. I was scared, nervous and determined to be a good mom. I am so happy with the young lady Ashley has become. Ashley is a beautiful, funny, smart and caring girl. I could not ask for a better daughter. Happy Birthday Ashley! Today my mom and I took her to the mall to buy her a new outfit and to lunch. While at lunch Meme told the waitress it was Ashley's birthday. Here is what the did for her. She was so embarrassed but thought it was funny!

Pumpkin Patch

Our annual trip to the pumpkin patch was a very windy one this year. We found this great little pumpkin patch off the beaten path. The ocean in the background, the pumpkins still on the vines and the rainbow made for a great backdrop. While the sun was shining we hurried up and got ready to head out the door. When we got there it was so windy so all we got was these pictures of the kids being blown around. But just look at that backdrop, did you see that rainbow?

Birthday party weekend

We have already had quit a weekend and it's only Saturday. Last night we took Ashley, her 2 best friends and their daters out for her 15th birthday dinner. Even though her birthday is on the 29th it's much easier to celebrate the weekend before since it's so close to Halloween. Ashley had a great time. Aaron and I decided to get her a cell phone for her birthday. No not a new cell phone, a cell phone. She must be the only 15 year old without one. At the restaurant Aaron and I sat at a different table than the Ashley and her friends, because parents are SOOOOOO EMBARASSING. Anyway I had our waiter deliver her present over to her table and while she was opening it I called her phone so it would ring the happy birthday tune I previously downloaded. She was so surprised and happy. I sure hope I don't live to regret getting her a cell phone. I have heard some pretty scarey stories (high bills) from people with teenagers that have them. Here is a picture of the girls ALL DRESSED UP:
Ashley, Sheena, Randi

This morning we had the twins 2nd birthday party. Since their birthday is on Halloween I have a feeling that the next 18 years we will always have their birthday the weekend before. We had so much fun this morning. Even though I kind of lost track of time and when our guests started to arrive my kids were still in their pj's. We started off with each of the kids picking out a small pumpkin to decorate. I got some pipe cleaners, googly eyes, puffy balls, and felt stickers. I opted out of the glitter, kids and glitter scares me. After our pumpkin craft we had a visit with NL Jungle and their animals. They are a company that brings small animals, for the kids to love and rub on while learning a little about each one. Lily had NO FEAR! She laid down and looked into the face of each animal. Even the snake and lizard she loved them all. Preston would touch them but not nearly as much as Lily. She is such an animal lover. We ended the party with cake and presents. I opened my freezer a moment ago to 3 boxes of ice cream cups I forgot about. Oh well. I guess I know what my mom and I will be snacking on while she is here visiting.

Silent Sunday

It is officially cold here. We had freezing rain mixed with snow last week. The wind lately has been bad enough to compete with some of the hurricanes in the south. We did manage to get out to our local pumpkin patch on Friday, Preston and Lily looked so cute in their fall attire. Too bad mommy forgot the memory card for the camera. Hopefully this week we will have at least one sunny day so I can attempt the pumpkin patch again.

Such a beautiful girl

I was uploading pictures and found this on my camera. Ashley loves taking pictures and even more taking them of herself. It must be a teenage thing. I can't believe in 2 short weeks my Ashley will be 15! Time has gone by so fast. I am so proud of who she is and I am so proud she is my daughter.

Pardon me while I brag

My husband got me the best present ever for our anniversary in July. I have had so much fun making shirts, bags, hats. Here is my latest creation:

Finally some sun

I was greeted this morning to something that hasn't been seen for weeks, it was the SUN! I was so excited that after breakfast we got dressed and headed out to the park. The park we went to has been closed all summer. Finally when they get brand new shiny toys the rain starts and does. not. stop. We had to get out our big coats because it was only 42 degrees but the sun was out so away we went. Here is my attempt to take pictures of the kids while trying to make sure they are both in my sight. This is a big park so when they head in 2 different directions things can get a little tricky.

Lily kissing the big caterpiller
Preston, check out this leaf it's bigger than my hand.

About now I was thinking, oh great water, that's all I need is for one of them to fall in.

Silent Sunday

Ok so forgive me. I only took 4 pictures this week and they are all of Lily. Actually I only took 1 the other 3 of Lily sneaking into the pantry were on the camera from Ashley.
I will do better I promise.
