Update

These babies are all over the place. We invested in a gate for the play room I think I will order one off the internet for the stairs. Especially when they start walking, which we are one step closer to. Preston in now letting go alot and standing for longer periods. Lily has also stood but not as long as Preston. I think he will walk soon. Just my opinion though.
Our days are spent taking walks, playing, doing puzzles, reading books, mommy cleans while we watch baby Einstein or take naps. Speaking of naps...... what age do they go to one nap. They will take a fairly good morning nap around 10 but in the afternoon I find they just lay there and play I don't think they actually sleep. I however leave them in there if they aren't crying just to at least have quiet time. The bottle is still going well I tried one night to do away with it and it went well but the next night they were not happy and I just gave it to them. If they are happy I am happy.
Milk isn't going so well. As I increase the milk and decrease the formula amount Preston started getting really fussy like his stomach was hurting. Is this something milk related? They have been on soy formula but seem to do fine with the milk they have had. So give me some advice readers. What do you think? Should I just hold off on increasing the milk for Preston?

We also had milk problems. The babies were on soy formula and even the half half formula/ milk was causing bad diaper rashes. Our pediatrician said on Monday to just give them whole soy milk (not the light kind) One plus is that the Silk soy milk is organic and it last longer than regular milk. Good luck!

Well you know I have the milk issues at my house to. Put them on Soy milk. Then try again when he turns 2. Just make sure you give them plenty of other stuff with Calcium and protien in them.
About the one nap thing. I think Jakob was 18 months but Katharine was a little over a year if I remember correctly. It will take a couple of days to for them to adjust so dont give up after the first day and think it wont happen.I personally love the longer one nap as opposed to the shorter 2 naps. It works better with my schedule.

We did not have milk problems, but then I am a huge milk drinker and Kiera BFed. So, I think his stomach is just not used to it. I agree with the other girls. Try soy milk for while and offer foods with dairy. Keep increasing dairy and then gradually switch the milks.
As far as the naps, if they are not sleeping during the first nap and they are not overly whiny, they don't need it. Try one nap right around noon. Then each week try and move it later by 15 or 30 minutes until you get your desired time and a time that works for them. We all know Kiera is a horrible sleeper. She has never needed much sleep. She switched to one nap very early (around a year), most kids it is 18 months. But, then she slept longer. Her optimal naptime is 1-3.
Just when you think you have it all figured out, they go and change it all up!

Well - no kids... so I guess I don't have any experience to share here... but I'm glad to be reading all the wonderful stuff you're getting from those that have gone before. :-) I was going to say maybe try soy milk too... or goat milk - my sister uses that because it's closer to human milk and easier to digest. She drinks it as well as my niece.

So darn cute!! I just love the floppy sockies and how their knees can't quite get a grip on the smooth floor. They are beautiful and I especially loved the early days pictures. Hope you are well and happy Staci!

Emma only takes one nap a day, and she's almost 14 months. She'll take a great nap in the afternoon- about 2-3 hours, but make sure you put them down a little earlier--she's down for her nap by noonish, and in bed for the night by seven. Good luck!

One of mine cant do dairy at all. We experience the same thing, fussiness during the day and poor sleep at night. We were advised by our Ped to stay away from it for the most part but to try it once a week until we see better tolerance. When we see tolerance, we were to try it two days, then three days...
Good luck. I know buying formula and soy milk gets old. ($!)
