The Mommy Diaries asked: Wine or Beer?
Answer: I love the taste of beer, really I do. I like wine too it helps me relax and makes me sleepy.
Joe asked: What's the kindest thing anyone has ever done for you?
Answer: That's a toughy. All I can think of right now is how my friends and family pulled together when I was pregnant and after I had the babies. When I was pregnant they came over and helped me organize the nursery, sort through clothes, helped with housework and helped us with Ashley. After the babies we had meals delivered and all the help we could ever ask for. I am so grateful to have amazing friends and family that I know I can turn to if I ever need anything.

18 months
So 18 months has come and gone. I have been wanting to blog this for a few weeks and just haven't gotten around to it. Whoever said the first year is the hardest must have forgotten about 18 months! I don't think the first year is harder just different. With 18 months they are just learning so much and wanting to go go go. Before now they would pretty much sit and play now they are learning they can open doors, push buttons, climb stairs and they also know they can get their way if they scream loud enough!! Wow these kids are all over the place. Not only are they starting to know exactly what they want but they will do anything possible to get it. ANYTHING from kicking, screaming and crying. They have turned into demanding little toddlers. Don't even think about putting Lily in her chair unless you have some food ON the table. Not on the counter being cut up, not in the microwave being heated up.......... ON the table ready for her to come to the food, not the food come to her. Preston is still pretty laid back in that area. They both are using forks full time. It's going well until Preston decides he wants to bang his fork pointy side down on the table. Then Lily decides she can do it better and louder so it turns into a little competition. We taught them to put their fork and cup on top of their plate and push it away when they are done. That is going well too, and thank god because turning your plate over and launching it onto the floor is not my idea of a fun after dinner activity. Let me see what else is going on at the funny farm? We turned Lily's car seat around. I finally feel like she has reached the weight and height requirement. She loves it, her and Preston hold hands and

Happy Mother's Day
This morning Aaron got the babies up and was attempting to make me breakfast in bed but at 9 am I had to get up. It's nice sleeping in but I feel like I am wasting my day. We went to the bookstore and to eat lunch. I have been scrapping since we got home. I have so many layouts I want to get done and so many more pictures to go through that I could probably scrap everyday and still not be caught up.
What a great family I have and what a great mother's day/weekend I have had.

The Mommy Diaries asked: I would love to hear your birth stories. Ashley, the babies, either one. I love reading birth stories! :-)
ANSWER: Well with both pregnancies I had toxemia (click here to read all about toxemia) right before by delivery date. Due to toxemia I was induced both times. With Ashley I went to the dr for my weekly check up and was advised to go to the hospital. I was given the cervix softening gel at 10 pm. My water broke at 7 am and I had her at 9:20 am.
With the twins I already had an induction date of 10-31-07. When I got to the hospital everything was fine but quickly started to go down hill as my blood pressure rose to 170/110. I was able to get an epidural, which I didn't get with
Ashley, the anesthesiologist didn't get there in time. The babies were born without c section at 11:09 and 11:11. Lily was double footed breech, thank god for that epidural!
Alicia asked: Hehe, you're right...I was lurking!!! Hmmmmmm, is there anything about living in Newfoundland that you prefer over living in Houston??
ANSWER: No traffic, ever!!! In Houston I lived 7 miles from my office and it would take about 30 mins (or more if there was an accident) to get there. Here it takes 10-15 mins to get anywhere. Also the summers aren't so hot and humid.
Andi asked: Do either of the babies look like Ashley did when she was a baby?
ANSWER: Yes, Lily does. Here is a picture of Ashley and Lily. Isn't it funny they both make the same face?
Jenn asked: Describe your perfect day (not weather wise...activity wise)
ANSWER: Me, Aaron and the kids would start out by going to eat a good breakfast. Then go to a beautiful place to have a walk and enjoy the fresh air. The afternooon would be spent playing at the park and eating ice cream then head to an Astros game. After the game Aaron and I would tuck the kids into bed and sneak out for a dinner date.
What is a regret that you live with?
This will be fun...ask Aaron and Ashley to describe you in Five Words and report back.
Would you rather be rich or famous?

Weekend review
Disclaimer: The pictures are not the best since I had to use the point and shoot which now stays in Ashley's purse and is dropped pretty often.
