Regatta day

Yesterday we went to the Royal St John's Regatta. It is North America's longest running sporting event. The regatta is usually on the first Wednesday of August. It is a floating holiday which means if the weather sucks it's postponed until the weather is nice. The whole city shuts down for the regatta, most stores close and everyone is off work. We stayed all day until about 5 then headed home because it was mom's night out!!!
I have been looking forward to this for a few weeks now. I had my shrimp mold all ready to go and it was a hit. There were about 10 ladies from a local moms website. These are the same group of girls I have been meeting for playgroups. We had a good time relaxing and talking about everything. I stayed out until past midnight and it didn't involve scrap booking imagine that! I really had to put my moose glasses on for the ride home. There have been a few moose accidents lately so I drove slow.
